. Now the day is here, don’t let the daunting task of planning a wedding kill that dream. I am not going to lie to you and say that planning a wedding is easy, it is not. But it can be fun and exciting and well worth all the effort you put into it.
When planning a wedding you must start with a budget. Because the cost of a wedding can get quickly out of hand. Having a budget doesn’t have to be depressing it just means you will not have to start your marriage off in debt. A budget keeps you in touch with reality. As you go through each step it is easy to lose track of what you want to spend and the budget will keep you on track.
You have now decided you both want to get married, next you must choose when and where you would like to hold the wedding. It is very important that you check to make sure the venue is available for that special day. If it is a very popular location, I sometimes recommend having alternative dates. Once you have chosen the location and the date is okay, sign a contract so you know the place is yours.
Once you have a date you want to go to the printer and choose save the date cards and wedding invitations. Once again keeping your budget in mind. After you have the invitations ordered then I suggest you speak to the individual who will be marrying you, It doesn’t matter if it is a lay person or a person of the cloth you must make sure they will be a available. Don’t assume anything.
Choosing the type of food you will have at your wedding depends totally on your budget. If the budget allows a meal served by a caterer it is always nice, if this is too expensive drinks and h’orderves can be lovely. If having a caterer proves to be too expensive there have been many great weddings where the brides family has either purchased food or prepared it themselves. Giving your guest some form of food and drink makes your wedding a more fun and memorable experience for your guests.
Now it is time to choose that perfect white dress. But before you step a foot into a store set yourself a budget of exactly how much you can spend. It is so easy to fall in love with a dress remember you wear it only once. Many brides are considering renting a dress for the big day .I think this can be a good idea. Renting a dress can give you the dress of your dreams at a great price.
After you have done the things I have suggested above, I suggest you get yourself a planner so that you can follow up on each of the items required for the perfect wedding. If you are organized and keep in your budget I feel you can have the perfect wedding of your dreams.
