One of the greatest and sometimes funniest parts of a wedding reception is the wedding speeches

. There are usually several key people who will give a speech and these are the best man, the bridesmaid, the father and mother of the groom and bride.

It is important that you spend the extra time to prepare your speech and know what you would like to say. You do not want this special day to arrive and then when you are handed the microphone not know what you want to say.

It is always best that you try to prepare your speech in a way so that it does not sound prepared and the best way to do this is to speak form the heart. Make a list of the person that you are speaking about good traits and then talk about those.

You want to start with how you meet and what you have been through with this person. When you are summing up you speech make sure that you include both the bride and groom in wishing them well in life. There have been so many times were the person you are talking about gets all the glory and it always makes for a better speech if you include both people.

Keep your speech limited to no more than about 5 minutes because you do not want to talk for too long. Remember that there are other people that will speaking as well.

Remember that when preparing your speech that you need to keep it to the point and make it fun.
